Mindset Coaching with Kim:

My clients come from all walks of life, but many are equine professionals and amateurs who have hit a roadblock and don’t know what to do with growing pressure, anxiety, and fear that consumes their lives. We’re biologically built for nature, but our minds have not caught up with the stressors of the modern world. As a mindset coach, I’m here to help you alchemize that negative energy into gold and to show you how you can befriend your fears.

From the moment visitors pass the farm gates and begin their drive down the winding, dirt path that leads to Bramblewood Stables, they notice a shift in their bodies. Their muscles relax, time slows down, they take a deep breath. Surrounded by acres of woods in the middle of the city, many visitors tell me that they did not expect find a place so accessible that seems so removed from the world.

In order to know ourselves better, we must first have the space to feel our bodies. Bramblewood offers the space, and I am here as your coach — an advocate for your self-growth.

With our feet on the ground and the solid presence of the horse in front of us, I welcome clients into a partnership of personal transformation.

I’m your accountability partner that will walk beside you as you step into your personal power.

In virtual sessions, I bring the grounding presence of the farm to you.

In 2022 my coaching program partnered with the Medical University of South Carolina so that Integrative Medicine students could explore where people search beyond medicine to feel better. I am also proud to work with referrals that reach me from our greater community including: RIZE Prevention, South Carolina Continuum of Care, Thrive Upstate, and The Department of Social Services.

Coaching or Therapy?

Coaching is not therapy. The goal of life coaching is to focus on your present circumstances so that you may access the tools you have now to create positive change and growth.

Therapy often focuses on past events that have shaped you so that you may better understand who you are and what needs to change. Using diagnostic tools and assessments, your therapist is a valued member of your health tool kit.

Your life coach is a mentor, colleague and champion of your successes, ready to gently lift you up and show you the way out of habits and circular thinking so that you may more easily access your higher self. In many ways, your coach is your accountability partner.

All current research shows that community is essential for health. Your coach is part of the solution you’re creating for health, but not the only piece.

Sometimes your needs are greater than our scope of practice and we are prepared to refer you to the proper channels to find the best help. If you are currently seeing a counselor, we ask that you allow us to work alongside your therapist to see if coaching is a good fit for you.
